KG1/KG2 After School Drama Registration Now Open!
UAS will offer a third session of after school drama classes for our KG1 and KG2 students.
These drama classes take children on fun in-school imaginary trips to fascinating destinations, where children use their imagination to act and explore. Early participation in drama develops confidence, and speaking skills, serves as a wonderful introduction to acting and begins a life-long enjoyment of creative arts.

DATES: April 12/19/26 and May 3/10/17

If less than 12 students sign up, then the drama classes will be cancelled and a refund given. Please note that no buses will be available and parents will be responsible for picking up their child at the end of each session.

An SMS was just sent out to families letting them know that After School Activities as well as the Grade 5 Parent Exhibition Information session have been cancelled for after school today. We are anticipating longer commutes due to poor weather conditions.
For our Grade 3 – Grade 5 families, if your child was planning on taking the swim test today after school for Aquathon, we have postponed that until Sunday. Please plan on having them complete their short swim test on Sunday, March 13th @ 3:15 in the pool.
Thank you and enjoy your extended weekend!

The Universal American School Dubai School Inspection Bureau (DSIB) annual inspection will be on March 21st through March 24th. The school leadership has been working on the contents and findings for the self-evaluation all year, and this past week and this weekend the team worked deep into the night and through the weekend to put the finishing touches on our report. I am very proud of the work that the school’s teachers and administrators have done throughout this school year AND with the development of the school’s KHDA report.
One key component of the DSIB inspection is parent feedback from an online survey.
Please click on this link to complete the online survey.
The surveys give inspectors valuable information. A low rate of return suggests a lack of engagement by our school community. Please help UAS by providing your feedback. The completed the surveys from you not only will help inform the inspection but will also show the DSIB that we have an engaged community.
Please click here to begin the survey: https://www.khda.gov.ae/Parents
**Please note: It is important to select the correct school name from the list before answering the question.
The UAS 5th Annual Junior Aquathon Charity Event will be held on Thursday March, 17th!

Children and adults alike thoroughly enjoyed our Visiting Author, Mr. Steve Swinburne, this week. Mr. Swinburne was greeted by our classes with a song that he wrote as they have been practicing it for weeks! Please see this short clip on Mrs. Baker’s and Conejo’s Instagram page or the full clip on YouTube.
Steve Swinburne’s book are available for our families to purchase – the order form and money are due to school on Thursday, March 3rd. Steve will personally autograph each book that is purchased and the books will be delivered during the month of May. Order forms were sent home with children yesterday and are available for download here.
Thank you all for your support! Our children are still chatting and talking about their new friend, Steve. All ages learned so very much!
