Dear Parents;

I received a phone call today that my father passed away this morning. I will be leaving tomorrow to go to the States for the funeral and to spend time with my mother. My father was a wonderful man, married to my mother for 63 years! He led a good life and died peacefully but it never makes it any easier. I told the children at the end of the day that I would be away as I need to go home to visit my family.

I will be away until after the spring break. Please know that I have done all of the planning for the next two weeks and your children are in very capable hands with Ms. Naoemi and Ms. Nisreen, whom the children are familiar with.

I am sad that I will miss the Mother’s Day presentation. I am sure that it will be beautiful. The children are very excited.

If you need anything while I am away you can email Ms. Naoemi at nignacio@uasdubai.ae or speak with her directly. You can also speak with Mrs. Hanna channa@uasdubai.ae

  • Remember tomorrow is the storybook character dress up day. There will be a parade at 8:00. You are welcome to come and watch.
  • Don’t forget to send in your 100 day collection, any time before March 12th.
  • Mother’s Day is on Thu. March 22nd at 8:00 am in the cafeteria. Your child should wear “pretty clothes” on this day.
  • Dismissal is at 12:00 on Thu. March 22nd.

Thank you for all your understanding and support. I look forward to seeing you all again in April.

On Sunday all the children should wear a t-shirt, any t-shirt they want that has words on it. It doesn’t matter what it says or what color it is. We want to celebrate reading!

Thursday is the storybook character dress up day and parade. Your child may wear any costume or be any character they want. The list I sent earlier is just a list of suggestions, we just wanted to help with some ideas in case you needed some without spending a lot of money.

When you come to International Day on Saturday be sure to pick up a UAS Passport for your child. They can get a stamp at the various countries that they visit! I can’t wait to hear about all of the places they go!

Have a nice weekend.
