Students will have an exam April 12th for section 1 and April 13th for sections 2-4.
We will go over this in class after the break. However, students can start reviewing the material anytime.
The overarching concept this unit is the identification of patterns in relation to cause and effect.
We will be studying:
- Fossil Records – existence, diversity, extinction, and changes of many life forms throughout the history of the Earth
- Natural Selection – how it leads to the predominance of certain traits in a population, and the suppression of others
- Adaptation – species change overtime in response to changes in environmental conditions
- Evidence of common ancestry and diversity – comparison of embryological development of different species
