Last Week with KG2

This week was the last week of music for KG2 until March. We focused on sound vs silence and continued to explore the xylophones. The songs we learned this week were “Bow Wow Wow”, “Kye Kye Kule”, “Closet Key”, and “Froggie Went a Courtin'”. I have added a video of each class playing the xylophones. They had to watch me and when I held up the symbol for silence (Z) they had to stop playing.

Welcome Back!

We were back from the break this week with KG2 and back into music! This week we reviewed high and low sounds and continued to work on expressing how music makes us feel. We also started learning about sounds and silences in music. We learned a song called “Aiken Drum” which let us make up how we think the man in the moon looks. We have some very interesting creations! We also learned the “Penguin Polka” and the dance that goes with it. We started learning “Let Your Light Shine” and our songtale this week was “What a Wonderful World”. Next week is our last week of music until March.
