For the coming week…



  • Please note that International Day date has been moved to Saturday, March 16, 2019, from 2pm to 7pm.
  • Mark this date in your calendar! The Grade 1 and 2 Musical will be March 19th at 8h30 in the MPH. Parents and grandparents invited.
  • ***Please check the ClassDojo for Ms. Austin’s post on the concert costume requirements.
  • SPRING BREAK: 31st March to 13th April
  • ASAs continue this week. This session’s ASAs will run until the end of April.

This week in Readers’ Workshop, Becoming Experts, Reading Non-fiction:

Classwork Homework suggestion
Sunday Student-led conferences Students can practice the reading skills using RAZkids, library books, class book shopping books or other books they have at home.

Please allow your child to choose what to read as it promotes enjoyment of reading which will help them become lifelong readers.

IXL Language Arts: Q.1 & Q.2

Monday Student-led conferences
Tuesday Students will be learning to focus on special language. They need to read most of the page to figure out what a phrase means.
Wednesday Personalized learning with their individual reading groups.
Thursday Our readers will practice holding onto stories even when the books are long.

Tuesday Students will be identifying dialogue tags in texts.

Unit of Inquiry

In UOI topic “Health and Wellbeing”, we are getting a better understanding of the Emotional and Social aspect and how this can affect our health. We will also explore mindfulness and look at it’s benefits.
