Letter from our PE and Swim teachers:

Swimming Unit For K-5

Dear Parents and Guardians,

It is great swimming weather! All of Ms. Ettl’s classes will begin swimming from October 7th – November 8th. The swim program that we use is based on the Canadian Red Cross. The students will be learning a variety of water safety skills, as well as learning and performing some basic swim strokes.

Each student is required to bring a:

  • Swimsuit
  • Swim cap
  • Towel
  • Plastic bag for wet swimsuit
  • Slippers/sandals
  • Goggles (optional)

All students must swim during PE whether they are advanced or beginners. Students will only be excused from swimming with a signed doctor’s note for any serious conditions.

We are looking forward to a great time in the pool!

If you have any concerns or questions, please contact me via email.

Thank you,

Ms. Ettl, Mr. Mac, and Ms. Terry
