In KG1

In KG2

  • I can  identify characteristics of main characters throughout a story
  • I can express an opinion about a book.
  • I can listen to others
  • I can  make relevant comments
  • I can read for enjoyment
  • I can answer questions about key details in a text

In Grade 3

  • I can recognize common types of texts
  • I can think of questions to ask a visiting author
  • I can describe characters, settings and major events in a story
  • I can understand what a call number is

In Grade 4 and 5

  • I can understand the history of the Dewey Decimal System
  • I can understand the ways books in the Dewey are organised
  • I can sort books according to the call number
  • I can find a call # in the nonfiction section

In Grade 3

In Grade 1

  • I can respond to a story by answering simple questions on basic business concepts.
  • I can connect the story to what i see in my own own communities and shops

In Grade 2

  • I can begin to understand the water cycle through a story
  • I can begin to understand how water changes form
  • I can begin to understand how water is important in our everyday life
  • I can join in with a motion song about the water cycle
  • I can access the nonfiction section of the library

In Grade 4 and 5

  • I understand the steps to take when collaborating with a classmate
  • I can upload and publish my story

Book Fair 4th-6th December

A reminder that next week we have our BookWorm Book fair from 4-6th December. A wonderful opportunity to buy books ahead of the holidays! Classes will be visiting with their teacher and parents are welcome to visit at anytime. We look forward to seeing you there!
