The children have been doing activities and preparing for our Mother’s Day Event which will be held next week.  I apologise for not posting many photo’s this week as we would like it to be a surprise.

We have been working on independently reading stories – They choose books to read as they are looking at the pictures for clues about the story and what the characters are doing.  After reading the story they choose one story to share with a classmate. We are also practising listening to each other when someone is telling their story.

On Tuesday we celebrated being at school for 100 days!! Look we can count to 100 while doing exercises!

We visited the Dramatic Play Room with a new Theme – Airport. the children enjoyed taking of different roles in their play.

On Thursday we did learning in outdoor centers – which is unfortunately coming to an end as the weather is starting to change. The children have enjoyed participating in many of the different activities, where they get to choose who they worked with in their small groups.

In centers this week the children made the world by ripping, rolling and gluing green and blue paper; used one to one correspondence and counting to move around the world in a math game; dressing people in different clothes from around the world and Identifying the letter Bb and things that start with that letter in their I Spy Books.
