Dear parents,

KG2’s Unit of Inquiry is all about our community and the people who work together to make our community a better place. We would love the opportunity to hear from a variety of people who work in our community. If you have a job that you would be willing to help us learn more about, we would love to have you come visit us! Our unit goes all the way until late January so our times for you to join us would be flexible and we would be more than happy to work around your schedule. Depending on your preferences, you could visit us as a whole group (5 KG2 classes) do 2 sessions with just 2-3 classes at a time. You are welcome to bring a colleague to visit with us as well. If you are interested, please email me and we can sort out a time/date that works best for you

Thank you

We had so much fun at Kidzania! The children were so well behaved on the bus and in Kidzania. It was a great trip! Have a look at some of our photographs, we tried to catch everyone having fun! 🙂

This gallery contains 27 photos.

Magrudy’s book fair is on at the moment. We will be visiting tomorrow. If you would like to send money in for your child please do so tomorrow. We would also recommend visiting the book fair with your child after school and choosing a book together.

Reminders for next week

Sunday 12th is our field trip to Kidzania, please be on time. Send a snack in with your child and don’t forget water bottles. Please make sure your child is wearing their uniform.

Monday 13th children will be watching a performance of Jack and the Beanstalk in the MPH at 8.15.

We will be visiting Magrudy’s Book Fair in the library.

Tuesday 14th is Diabetes Awareness day and to show support we will all wear blue. So children should come to school dressed in blue. We will be getting active throughout the day so please wear appropriate shoes.

Wednesday 15th & Thursday 16th, no school for children as parent teacher conferences will be taking place.

Counting on

This week we have had great fun learning all about tens and ones! Children explored the concept of 10 working with different types of materials. Children counted on from 10 to make new numbers. They broke down numbers into their different parts using blocks, base ten and ten frames. We each chose a number and represented it 4 different ways. We will be hanging up our posters outside soon, so come check them out! 🙂

If you have not already done so, please click here to fill out the Parent Teacher Conference form.

Important reminder

Dear parents,

If your child is coming on the Kidzania trip on Sunday I need the filled in form returned asap. We need to send all of the food choices tomorrow to Kidzania so please send in your food choice option tomorrow.

Thank you

Dear Parents,

You received information from UAS Elementary School on how to access the online portal and how to schedule your child’s Parent Teacher Conference. If you have multiple children in the Elementary School, their PTC has already been pre-scheduled. From Tuesday you will be able to log in to view your pre-scheduled time. Should you have a conflict with that time, it is your responsibility to edit and reschedule accordingly. I look forward to meeting with you all next week.

Thank you
